Vegeta, DragonBall Z (c) Akira Toriyama

Cosplay Construction Notes
Wig styled by wolvhert. Made with a long wavy black wig with lots of wefts in it, plus 2 cans of Got 2 B hairspray and loads of hair clips. Badman shirt made by me. I bought a white short-sleeved school shirt, dyed it with "flamingo pink" dyson dye, then I used iron-on photo paper for the black "BAD MAN" text, and then I outlined it with white fabric paint and ironed over it. The white t-shirt underneath, beige trousers and shoes are from my wardrobe. Pretty easy to do!

Whilst there's no deep or hidden meaning within this photo, I think you managed to portray 'badass', 'rebellious', and 'awesome' very well with this photo. If that was your intention when you posed for this photo, when you edited it, and uploaded it, then I think you managed that beautifully spot on.

Whilst this is something I've seen before with cosplay, mostly in the Naruto secta (what with their back symbols and such, a few cosplayers have emphasized their back symbols in the past!), I think it's striking. The words 'Bad Man' printed on the back of your shirt really stand out and invoke strong impressions with this character. I'm not a DBZ fan, but I'm under the impression that the character you're cosplaying is somewhat 'badass', 'dangerous', and 'rebellious', when regarding this single photo. It's with the whole 'danger' connotation that comes with being a 'bad man', it both implies being exciting and unpredictable.
Furthermore, the way you posed with your thumb indicating towards these letters, it draws further attention towards them and the general pose accentuates the whole 'badass' feel. It's not just in the words printed on your back, it's also in your stance, you managed to contribute towards the entire theme and feel of this photo just by your stance. You've managed to make the whole 'bad man' image believable.

I really enjoy the point of view of this photo, and the colour balance. Whilst I think playing around with the levels a little might add to the effect of this photo, I do really enjoy the pink colour. Pink, whilst now being associated as being feminine and 'girly', was a colour once associated with masculinity, violence, and general gore; and it goes back to the point of this being a completely 'badass' and 'ganerous' photo. I think it's a very good colour to go for with this.

I think further editing of this photo (perhaps playing around with the 'radial blur' tool is a suggestion of mine!) may add to the impact of this photo, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary as the impact is already there, what with you pointing dramatically towards the 'bad man' prints and the print, itself, being rather bold and striking. All a little editing may do is improve what is already here.

Overall, I think this is a very impressive photo. Whilst I'm not a fan of DBZ, I do enjoy looking at this photo as a photo containing a model. Brushing aside the fact that it's cosplay, by itself it's a good photo. The hairstyle adds, again, to the whole badassery and rebellious theme.
